Thorough Inspection Services LtdTIS (GB) Ltd is the largest independent company accredited under the CFTS procedural code to conduct Thorough Examinations on forklift trucks and associated equipment.

Our Head Office is based in rural Leicestershire. Our service is nationwide with engineers strategically based throughout the UK.

Our engineers exceed the minimum requirements of CFTS each with in excess of 10 years service and maintenance experience on all makes of forklift truck.

TIS conduct Examinations for some of the largest forklift manufacturers, many other distributors and smaller service providers. We also conduct examinations for the end user from multi truck major blue chip companies to single truck users in all manufacturing/warehouse/storage disciplines.

Other associated services include but are not limited to, accident investigation and reporting as well as expert witness.

Thorough Examination is a statutory requirement for all industrial equipment under the LOLER  and    PUWER  regulations 1998. Importantly as a user it is your responsibility to ensure that any industrial equipment you or your company use carries a current report of Thorough Examination.

The legislation states that Thorough Examinations can only be carried out by a competent person and that person should not normally service or maintain the equipment being Examined. The competent person should be free from fear or favour to conduct the Examination and give a true an accurate description of any repairs, adjustments or replacements along with timescales for their completion or if required, remove the equipment from service until such time it is made safe.

TIS are fully independent, we do not hire, lease, sell, service or repair industrial equipment. We do not insure or have any other vested interest in the results of Thorough Examination or any of the other services we offer. You are therefore assured of an accurate and truthful report on the condition of your truck at the time of Examination.
